More Pics.....

Hello again everyone! Thanks for checking in. Below are just some more pictures of my second week here Kolkata.

This is a picture of the Ghosh family who live at the multi-storied house/college where I'm living and training.
From the left, Muktamala Ghosh-Mitra (daughter of Bishnu Ghosh's son, the late Biswanath Ghosh) who leads the 1-on-1 training with me 6 days a week. She is a very intelligent and direct woman, which makes a good teacher.  At center is Anjana Ghosh, (Muktamala's mother, and widow of Biswanath) whom we all call "Auntie", very sweet and caring lady. On the right is Srinjoy Mitra, or "Bubu" (Muktamala's 10 year old son) who speaks very good English, as well as, Bengali, Hindi, and even some Japanese. One of the most mature, wise, and well-read 10 year olds I've ever met.
This is Muktamala in her office where the majority of my training is conducted. The picture of the man on the wall is her grandfather Bhishnu Charan Ghosh, founder of the College and one of the greatest Yoga teachers and physical culturist's in history. He was a disciple of his brother, Paramahansa Yogananda, whom he accompanied in the 1920's on his tours to spread the teachings of Yoga in the West, as an example of achieving incredible domination of the body through the power of the mind.
He was also the pioneer of strength training and muscle building in India.

This Ravi Gupta. We became fast friends during my visit to his Cyber Cafe which is seen here. He is a very successful 26 years old entrepreneur who, owns and runs two Cyber Cafe's, is a railway contractor and, owns a manufacturing business of railway parts. If you're ever in town his Cafe is at P-324 CIT Road, Kol-54, Kankurgachi, Kolkata. He is also looking forward to visiting the US for the first time very soon. Maybe we will see him come to Yoga Tropics!

Above are just some pictures of the friendly and photogenic locals that are ready to accommodate in any way they can.

These are just some locals getting happy and giggly off of cough syrup, although not a single one amongst them seemed the slightest bit sick...I guess the syrup worked

This is a local tea stand that I visit at least twice a day. It costs 2 rupees for about an ounce and a half of tea. You have the choice of tea with milk or without, along with spiced lime juice, sugar, or a choice of four different pastries at the same price. The Bengali phrase for tea with milk is, "dood cha"

Another pleasant and very common sight on the streets of Kolkata.

You will see this a lot if you ever come here. Fresh squeezed/pressed sugar cane juice!

The above 5 pictures are of "Science City" which I visited on Wednesday. It is a bigger, amusement park version of the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park.

Well...this is about all I managed to upload for now. Please check in very soon for more updates and do not hesitate to post any questions.

Many Thanks and Many Blessings!

Jai India
