The Late Great Bishnu Charan Ghosh! One of the most influential Indian Yoga Masters of the past and one of the most celebrated physical culturists in the world. Founded the Ghosh's College of Physical Education in 1923 when he was just 20 years old, from where he eventually traveled to the US in 1939 to give demonstrations of Yoga and the incredible feats of strength, exemplifying the power of mind over body, as well as, giving a very famous lecture on the ancient science/art at Columbia University.

This is Bishnu (cener) with his older brother/Spiritual-Guru Sri Paramahansa Yogananda (founder of Self-Realization Fellowship and Yogoda Satsanga Society of India) and, the young Biswanath Ghosh (son of Bishnu and successor of the Bishnu Ghosh teachings)

This is the main Yoga practice room where it all began. This is a men's only room. As you can see there are many many pictures of Bishnu, Biswanath, and their students, performing incredible postures and demonstrations of physical control gained through Yoga.

This however, is Bishnu with Rabindranath Tagore, a renaissance man of the 19th and 20th century. World renown for his writing of poems and novels, plays, songs, philosophies, and education. Close friend of Mohandas Gandhi, a Nobel Prize Laureate, and an instrumental figure in India social reform. Native of Kolkata where, nowadays one can see many dedications to him, ranging from bridges, to streets, metro stations, etc...
